Our firefighters are the public face of North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, but there are other departments within the service who play an important supporting role.
Finance
Responsible for ensuring that we use our resources in a cost-effective way - responsible for the delivery of invoices, collection of income and the payments of salaries, wages and allowances.
Human Resources
Responsibilities include recruitment, job evaluations, equality and fairness, contracts and conditions of service.
Equal Opportunities
Provides, maintains and ensures the Service's continuing dedication to equality diversity and fairness in all our work.
Corporate Communications
Provides pro-active press and public relations, translation services and fire authority liaison.
Information and Communications Technology
Provides, maintains and develops the Service's IT infrastructure, telephony, radio communications and audio visual services at 48 Fire and Rescue Service sites and three North Wales Police sites.
Fleet Services
Responsible for designing, providing and maintaining all the Service's vehicles.
Stores
Orders and distributes equipment such as uniforms and consumer goods.
Facilities Management
A new department which has responsibility for maintaining the buildings and stations of both North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police.
Skills Learning and Development Centre
The Skills Learning and Development Centre encourages all staff to continually enhance their personal professional development, and supports all individuals whose potential has been identified by the Fire & Rescue Service Assessment & Development Centres.
This is promoted through the Integrated Personal Development System and includes the following elements of IPDS: National Occupational Standards, Workplace Assessments & Personal Development Records.
